"I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above, Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love; The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test, That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best; The love that never falters, the love that pays the price, The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice. And there's another country, I've heard of long ago, Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know; We may not count her armies, we may not see her King; Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering; And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase, And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace."

Wonderful British song
@thatsalittlebassist2 жыл бұрын
@@chrislyne377 It's actually based off of a piece by Gustav Holst called "The Planets: Jupiter." He was an English composer, though. Still a lovely work of art, it is.
@chrislyne3772 жыл бұрын
@@thatsalittlebassist Indeed. That piece of music is called 'Thaxted' after a small town in Essex where Holst lived and only 15 miles up the road from me. He altered the melody to fit the words of an existing poem by Sir Cecil Spring Rice to make the hymn

As far as I’m concerned, when John McCain died so did the Republican Party. I disagreed with his stance on most things but I would never be ashamed to call him my leader

Rest in Peace and solace for those left behind. Time to reflect on on how actions of what should be a great nation have caused and are causing the most evil suffering under guise of liberation. Time for truth.

Where is Trump? Isn't he the president? Should at least show up and pay respect to fallen hero or if he doesn't see him as a hero than at least as a fellow American. Well, Mr. McCain thank you for your service. Rest In Peace. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I have listen many times from many leaders on funeral of John McCain including his daughter that he was a undisputed American Hero, but no one said that he was a man of peace, humanity, compassion and non violence. In reality, The great American Hero has spent most of his life, talent, resources, political power and goals in wedging military wars with many poor, unfortunates, and powerless countries only to make America more powerful. Until the middle east nations including Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, and several African nations remain in rubble and under human suffering, John McCain's Legacy will stay alive.

Get in the ground already. How about a service for Mollie Tibbetts and Kate Steinle they are the real hero's not McCain. I wonder if he edited everyone's talk while he was alive to make sure it was fitting enough for him. God know how much he loved himself a lot.
