Liberals sidestep questions on Han Dong, 2 Michaels amid Chinese influence allegations

Following a Global News investigation that reported sources saying Liberal MP Han Dong privately advised a senior Chinese diplomat in February 2021 that Beijing should hold off freeing Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre asked when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau learned of this information.
Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly responded that Liberals worked "tirelessly" for the “Two Michaels" release, seemingly sidestepping the question.
"The importance of this question cannot be overstated. If the prime minister knew that a member of his own caucus was working to keep two Canadian citizens arbitrarily and illegally incarcerated in windowless cells, potentially being tortured, [if] he knew that and did nothing, that would be a devastating scandal against our national interest," Poilievre said.
The same question was asked throughout the duration of question period over 22 times, with Liberals doubling-down on their claims of helping the two Michaels.

I think it is a scam...but I have come to believe that the more who come out and vote for traditional morality and truth...the harder it becomes for those following evil to cover up their lies and cheating. Hey Canadian media, here's an idea. Rather than accepting that the governing party always gives these non-answers during question period as just "it is what it is", why don't you use your access to ask these questions yourselves? Make the fact that the government refuses to answer the story and keep asking them again and again?

I need to say this.... I used to mock Mr. Poilievre a year ago... calling him "Petey Puhluver" with disdain feeling he was unfit for his role. I want to openly admit that I now feel shame for doing so. Over this last year, I have grown to appreciate his approach and this specific exchange with Joly today has now utterly convinced me that this gentlemen should be the next PM. This Country is in dire straights. The damage done to it over the last 8 years seems almost insurmountable at this point. I am ready to vote RIGHT NOW for Mr. Poilievre and the Conservatives. The Election cannot come soon enough for me. I am full or regret for writing this gentleman off prematurely.

Treason is currently punishable by 25 years imprisonment without parole. It used to be punishable by hanging but 25 years will do nicely.

Stop off-shoring work to nations that support our values, and maybe then the likelihood of Canadians being held hostage abroad might decrease substantially. It doesn't that's what makes the entire story seem sketchy. Liberals getting them released would have helped the Liberal government. The ones wanting them to stay in prison would have been the opposition, so they could continue to criticize the failure of the Liberal government with regard to them being released.
