Liberal MP Han Dong leaves Liberal caucus amid accusations in Chinese interference probe

Liberal MP Han Dong announced on Wednesday night that he had informed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau he would no longer be sitting in the Liberal caucus.
The announcement came hours after Global News reported Dong, who is at the centre of Chinese influence allegations, privately advised a senior Chinese diplomat in February 2021 that Beijing should hold off freeing Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, according to two separate national security sources.
During his remarks in the House of Commons, Dong spoke about the reports, saying "media reports today quoting unverified and anonymous sources have attacked my. reputation and called into question my loyalty to Canada." Dong defended himself and said what has been reported "is false."

There was a fjll investigation done by our intelligence service. They then provided their findings to the PMO which did nothing. Afterwards the PMO released their findings from the federal election where Morris Rosenberg found no wrongdoing or interference, this just happened. In a response to repeatedly ignored intelligence briefings by the trudeau gov the intelligence service has now started making this information public. Make sense now?

I remember a time in politics when you had several candidates and parties to vote for and you picked the one whose priorities most lined up with yours. Now you just vote for who you think is the least corrupt and hope for the best. As for Climate Change, I don’t believe renewables is accomplishing anything and detracting from work on “innovation” that could. As long as people continue to make millions off of objects made from the earths resources in factories powered by the earths resources, we will never get off of fossil fuels. The Conservatives have made it clear that “innovation” is the direction they would go, so………

How would delaying their release have 'hurt conservatives'? The accusation is nonsensical, the Liberals where in power at that time, delaying the hostage release would not have helped them in any way. The CSIS leaker and one reporter can drum up a lot of partisan conflict but what are the actual accusations 'interference' is very vague.
