Hurricane Beryl: Is storm a sign of coming "threat" for Atlantic Canada?

Hurricane Beryl ripped across the Caribbean with the Category 5 storm - the earliest a storm of such strenght has ever formed in the Atlantic Ocean - leaving at least six people dead and communities devastated.
Warm sea surface temperatures are being pointed to as a key cause of the storm's strength so early in the season and it has some noting that warmer waters could mean storms lasting longer, especially when they travel north to locations like Atlantic Canada.
As Sean Previl reports, though such storms forming off the coast of a province like Nova Scotia is extremely unlikely, the "threat" from hurricanes lasting longer when over the region is another reason for people to prepare long before a storm even happens.

I live in Nova Scotia, that cold front makes a huge difference, but sometimes when it is already warm weather, these hurricanes touch us, and we have felt the impact too.

I live in Halifax. The forecasters have screwed up so much for here in the past when it comes to Tropical Systems. I'll take precautions and panic when the time is right. News stories like this should not be done as it creates unneeded worry in the region, Especially among the elderly, who there are a lot of here. They still watch the local new and believe it, Lets wait for there to be an actual threat.

Lol. So the weatherman has a difficult time getting it right but they can predict the number of storms, number of hurricanes. Maybe a couple more years of carbon tax there won’t be anymore hurricanes mudslides or forest fires.

Yes. There was a tropical storm in the tropics. So of course the sky is falling. Make sure you pay your carbon-hysteria tax so the bad-weather will go away….
