"You're my hero!": WWII veteran shares emotional embrace with Ukraine's Zelenskyy

28 күн бұрынUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared an emotional moment with a veteran during a D-Day ceremony in Normandy, France on Thursday.
The veteran, who also met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, kissed Zelenskyy's hand and told him he was the "saviour of the people."
Zelenskyy, who embraced the veteran and held his hand, kneeled to be at the same level as they exchanged a few words.

To see a man in his 90 so aware, intelligent, up to date to what happens in the world and lucid to understand what the truth is, it is amazing. That man to be someone who had fought for all of us today (including for "useful idiots" who support putin and dictatorships) is even more amazing! Zelenky doesn't want to spend any time in Ukraine now because he knows Ukrainians can't stand him and that's why he canceled the elections. He spends more time in the Collective West countries than in Ukraine. Of course, for the Collective West, the shining examples of democracy are Ukraine, which was considered the most corrupt and poor country in Europe, and another country in the Middle East that is committing the g-word right now. Two heroes come together on the site of a once broken land. A modern war still strikes at the heart of Eastern Europe with many tethers to the second world war. On the beaches of Normandy, many slaves of the regions in occupied Eastern Europe targeted Allied troops as they came ashore. The West freed Ukraine from the grip of communism and now stand firmly behind Ukraine in its defense of its sovereignty. The common citizen turned soldier and liberator. The comedian turned wartime leader. Both faced an authoritarian regime, Bent on the destruction and subjugation of Europe. There are so many parallels between these two heroes. As a scholar of the second world war, I am proud to stand behind the veterans of Normandy and the soldiers of Ukraine. The past and the future are brought together in the present. may their memory shine always.

Hypocrites! Zelensky hugs and takes a photo with an American veteran. Whereas in Ukraine, veterans of the Second World War are persecuted, they are not allowed and are arrested if they go out on Victory Day to honor the fallen and the victory over fascism. But they hold the Nazis from the AZOV brigade in high esteem. The Ukrainian authorities honor these Nazis, they are proud of them. And these Nazis on Victory Day specifically go and beat and mock veterans and citizens who wanted to celebrate Victory Day.

The USSR did a deal with the Nazis and invaded and occupied Poland with the Nazis. Russia ( the USSR) only fought the Nazis because the Nazis attacked them. Ukraine is only fighting Russia because Russia invaded Ukraine. By the way you do realise this video is of the 80th anniversary of D Day don't you? Do you know what D Day is?
