That's what I was exactly thinking, I went to Wasaga Beach and we put a tent beside the water, in the morning we saw two police around our tent and they gave us a ticket for $100 because we were just there for one night without a permit, but these guys were there for 2 months for free and nobody's even giving them any sort of a ticket or any sort of punishment. Not sure what's wrong with Canada😅😅😅😅

Honestly I think the vast majority of the protestors weren't in any way students or affiliated with U of T. They just found a new cause and wanted to be part of something. That's what people with nothing going on in their lives do for entertainment.

Actually it depended on the administration at the schools. For example, York U's chain of command allowed a lowly office manager to call police. However, UofT is probably more micro-managed and needed the President's OK. In other words, if the office manager at UofT handled the problem the encampment would not been able to last a day.

Education in the west stopped being about intelligence in the 90's. It's morphed into a form of status and a gate keep for careers. The number of people going to university to become intelligent in a topic is quite low. They are going to university to get jobs and money.

The post-secondary education system has been poisoning young people's minds for a long time now. I was in university 15-20 years ago, and the things that liberal arts and humanities professors would tell their students were very dangerous. Many young impressionable students would eat all of it up as facts. I assume the situation has only gotten worse as time has gone on.
