These are students who have paid to be in the university and who want it to divest from Israel so that their education and the money they provide the university aren't used to maintain Israel's apartheid state on stolen Palestinian land while perpetuating a genocide. Pro-Israeli demonstrators attacked the anti war/pro-Palestinian demonstrators and the officers just sat back and watched. No charges, no arrests. Says a lot…Imagine the police response and public outcry if the roles had been reversed. Just sickening!

Both sides have horribly violent and aggressive elements who do not want peace, and both sides have many people who want a peaceful settlement. Unfortunately, as in all conflicts, it's 100 times easier to keep conflict going. Only takes a handful of idiots.

Maybe they didn't have to force to stop it? And, of course, that wouldn't satisfy you anyway. You would be unhappy that despite the fight being stopped, the counter-protesters weren't arrested, or some of the Hamas were arrested "unfairly."
