Giant balloons took flight at the 95th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday to the delight of thousands who filled the streets to watch the floats, performers and celebrities go by.
Here are some of the top balloons and floats from the parade, which included some new favourites and classics -- From Grogu (a.k.a. Baby Yoda), Sonic the Hedgehog, Spongebob, Goku and more...

Every year my mom ,& I would make turkey gravy& toast 😋 & watch the parade together ❤ she's been gone 9 years this Christmas 🎄. I've been lost 💔 😢 ever since.

3 floats that I liked the most this year not shown in the video were: 1. Blue's Clues with the Big Blue in the center 2. Disney Cruise Ship with all the characters 3. The Christmas Train was pretty cool too!

My guess for future balloons and floats: Toothless (How to Train Your Dragon) Godzilla (complete with a float featuring Mechagodzilla and a marching band playing an instrumental version of Blue Öyster Cult's "Godzilla" accompanied by taiko drummers) King Kong (with battle axe) Optimus Prime Rexy the Tyrannosaurus rex (Jurassic Park/World) Blue and Beta (complete with a performer as a raptor trainer and other performers holding Pteranodons as well as a float featuring a Parasaurolophus, a Stegosaurus, and a Triceratops) Bumpy (Camp Cretaceous) Steve (Minecraft) Creeper (Minecraft) Encanto (a float featuring the Madrigal family, featuring the songs "The Family Madrigal" and "We Don't Talk About Bruno") Meilin Lee (Turning Red, in her red panda form) Baby Shark Donkey Kong Dino Megazord Dragonzord Cuphead Bluey and Bingo (complete with the opening theme to Bluey playing and a float featuring Chilli and Bandit) Ultraman (since Ultraman is getting more recognition outside of Japan now) Freddy Funko (the mascot for Funko) Detective Pikachu

I thought the Disney float would be here, but I guess Global News didn't like it that much. I liked it though, especially with all the Disney characters/Cast Members riding on it. I figured they came from Anaheim or Orlando to take part once they learned of the float and were volunteered to ride it.

It was so great to 👀 the Macy's day Thanksgiving parade last year and it seems like they got a lot more newer stuff in the parade as well. I know we're only in the second week of May but I cannot help it, I'm just waiting until this year of Thanksgiving Day parade and I know it's going to be great too. Also I'm just saying she's to see what's the newer stuff going to be in the parade.

I'll expose the 'elephant' in this parade. Where are the Pilgrams, American Indians, Columbus' ships, and the historic rendering of the first Thanksgiving? Leave it to me to burst the balloon that glorifies the imaginary world we live in.
