A camera crew got up close to sizzling hot lava flowing from Italy's Mount Etna on Tuesday, Europe's highest and most active volcano.
The 3,330-metre-high volcano has roared back into action in recent weeks, spewing lava and ash high over the Mediterranean island of Sicily.

In Greek Mythology, it says that Zeus defeated Typhon who is the father of Monsters by managing to trap him underneath Mount Etna. When Mount Etna starts spitting out lava, it's Typhon trying to get out.

I wish there was sound to accompany this. I have no idea what a lava flow sounds like.

yeah mankind gets accused of air pollution etc but a volcano can damage the ozone layer much more worst in one eruption than we do in one year, but still love to see lava up close, beautiful video, thanks camera man

that is only an issue when it's a huge, huge explosion whose gases are able to reach the stratosphere. this kind of explosion is not able to do that

Mankind is still responsible, volcanoes account for less than 1 percent of global emmisions, we produce the same amount of ash that comes from a super eruption (every 100 years” in 12 or so hours, try again
