I am very proud of Jody, obviously a strong intelligent person. I don't understand her continued loyalty to JT and this Liberal party, a bit reminiscent of Stockholm Syndrome... hope that she can see her way clear of them soon. As a centrist (I think many Canadians are centrist) I would love to see her join the conservative party - think about it, she would be able to provide moderating influence on them, it would be hard work, but would be the best thing she could do for Canada and Canadians.

Jody, this is your opportunity to start a grass roots progressive party. Corporate controlled politics will end one way or the other. You have my vote.

The Harper government enacted the DPA and thus it is a legal vehicle to negotiate with corporations out of court and to settle for financial penalties instead of trials. SNC Lavelin has violated the laws for years and in my opinion the officers of that company should have been charged a long time ago. I certainly believe that JWR was pressured by Trudeau and his advisors and that he should have apologized and been open about his decision to use the DPA. There was no need to dismiss JWR or to eject her from cabinet since she is the lawyer and was clearly doing her job. The way this was handled shows that Trudeau is a weak leader. However, for me to support Andrew Scheer and the NDP in the up and coming federal election because of this needless incompetence is still unthinkable. I am pleased that both JWR and Philpott will continue as Liberals as they are experienced and extremely articulate unlike the man himself. Trudeau is a good delegator and that is a sign of good leadership. He needs good people around him, people who are liberal and who are not afraid to disagree or dissent.

I am so proud of you, for your courageous and honest decision in trying to keep the PM from his political interference. You are what Canada is made of. We the people will vote out this corrupt Liberal government.

Wish there was discussion on the real villain, SNC-Lavalin. 7 of 8 SNC officials charged by the RCMP since 2012 got off on technicalities. The 8th got a small fine and short house arrest. Why are they so difficult to prosecute in Canada?

The big question for me is why she continues to defend Trudeau, or better yet, not clearly speak her mind about Trudeau. JWR definitely comes across as being honest, articulate, intelligent, and very professional. Actually, that's an understatement in that it's not just a matter of her coming across as being these things as any person of intelligence can see that she is indeed all of these things. Trudeau, on the other hand, is the complete polar opposite, thus the words that come to mind when describing Trudeau are dishonest (extreme liar, in fact, even to the point of being a creep), unintelligible when off-script (i.e. not reciting previously memorized lines that were written by his handlers), obtuse and incompetent.

I believe there's good politicians in the NDP, Liberals, Green party and the Conservatives. If they where to switch teams it could save there career, and continue to do good things in politics. The end game looks like the media might have found a Prime Minister on the take, or possibly on the take and who wants to avoid the judicial process as his duty as PM.

Although I do not agree with JWR's identity politics, such as helping to pass Bill C-16 the compelled speech law, I support her in standing up against Trudeau, in the name of the law, truth, and justice. I do hope Canadians will get to hear the remainder of her testimony!

I still think that the future will bring the two women, Jody and Jane, together with Trudeau for the benefit of all of us. We need them all on the same team.

If I were an NDP strategist I would be salivating over Ms Wilson-Raybould's possible move to my party. Should Jagmeet Singh stumble at the October election hurdle I could see a leadership review and JWR named as the new NDP champion. She holds progressive views, is a proven quantity in terms of competence and integrity and, as importantly, has nation-wide name recognition. If she decides to continue in federal politics then this would be her one chance to rise again to cabinet level. In fact, she could conceivably deliver the NDP's first REAL opportunity to form a federal government.
