Houses, fields on fire in England as UK records hottest day amid heat wave

Aerial footage showed houses and gardens engulfed in flames in Kent and Essex around London's suburbs on Tuesday, the same day Britain recorded a record-high temperature of 40 C.
The London Fire Brigade said it had deployed dozens of firetrucks to several blazes in and around the city, including 30 to a grass fire in east London.
The heat wave gripping Europe is expected to last until next week and intensified, scorching fields, damaging runways and forcing train tracks to buckle under the pressure.

I hope people are aware 40 degree weather is normal in many places in the world and things don't just magically set on fire because of temp. It's because it's so dry and someone throws a cig on the ground etc.

@Ryan Kisnics i'm from Canada, wild fires are never spontaneous. Sparks from trains, cigarettes, people lightning fires like idiots during fire bans. The closest thing to spontaneous is lightning i suppose but usually it's raining for that to happen. Things are on fire because it's dry not because the world is setting itself on fire

Untrue. Building materials coincide with the climate of the region. The average temp in the UK is 20s and this week it hit 41°. They are not equipped for double their average heat. It's not just a cig being thrown.... Mulch catches fire with high heat. Airport RUNWAYS are melting because the materials are made to withstand damp cool temps. The materials used on roads in California are very different from Alaska. Trees spontaneously combust due to seasonal dry spells. If you can fry an egg on your porch, dry brush can light without anything but a gust of wind. You clearly have no understanding of what's to come with our planet.

Here is a hypothesis. We know that CO2 has green house properties and that there is soot in diesel exhaust. We also have know since the 1990s that the diesel exhaust soot reflects a lot of the sun's light back into space, greatly reducing the effect of the CO2 humans are responsible for adding to the atmosphere. Particularly the exhaust from freight ships. The reduction in freight activity in recent years as well as Green solutions may be reducing the amount of CO2 produced, but perhaps it is having another effect of reducing the amount of these reflective particles in the atmosphere. And if you believe in the chemtrail theories, the reduction in air travel may be having the same effect as many believe that these trails are made from additives in the jet fuel designed to reflect sun light for this very reason.

CO2 is not a pollutant. CO2 does not drive changes in the climate. Because the warming effect of each molecule of CO2 declines as its concentration increases, CO2 cannot turn the planet into a fire ball. When historical context is properly considered, nothing is happening any where in the world that hasn't happened many times before, and there is ZERO credible science proving CO2 is causing unprecedented abnormalities. Stop slamming god's molecule, at any concentration CO2 is Safe and Effective; just ask green house operators.
@chrixthegreat
@chrixthegreat Жыл бұрын
@@robertknight5915 CO2 defiantly does not have the effect that the climate alarmists claim but that does not mean that it is not a green house gas or that there is not effect from it. The amount we have added is small comparatively and can not alone be responsible for the increase in temperature we are seeing, which itself is comparatively small thus far. At this rate I would worry about the planet in a few hundred years, assuming CO2 production stays the same. The claim that we have a decade to improve our environment is in my opinion absurd. As for safe levels, CO2 passed 2500 ppm is harmful to plants and deadly to humans. At these concentrations, CO2 becomes carbonic acid in blood and sap at levels that can damage or kill. Green house operators usually keep their CO2 levels no higher then 1800ppm. And as someone who grows a lot of food indoors, I usually keep CO2 levels around 800ppm, which is double that of the current atmosphere and 4 times that of the preindustrial atmosphere. It does have a positive effect on plant growth for C3 photosynthesis. C4 and CAM photosynthesis doesn't benefit that much from CO2 above atmospheric levels.

How about an effort to control idiots throwing out cigarette butts on to dry grass...or sparks from trains as in the liton fire last year..but no it's global warming 🤦
@silverdamsen2680
@silverdamsen2680 Жыл бұрын
@@wills2651 so until this very hot summer no one ever threw a cigareete butt in the grass? and trains never ran? So the reason we have fires is because is because of an increase in the variables that start fires. For example, there are no fires in an area that is having strong rains--does that make sense? Thus, there will be more fires when the grass is dry and sparks of butts will find dry grass and the reason for dry grass is climate change/global warming. But yes, some fires could have started without climate change but the comparative increase points to climate change as the cause becuase climate change is causing drought which causes dry gass... Climate change also causes floods and famine too. So if there is an unprecedented heat wave and scientists (and also logic) say that climate change/global warming is causing this heat wave and an aspect of the heat wave is more fires.... then climate change is causing these fires or at leasta factor--does that make sense?

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others. But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted". Matt 23 NIV YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FOR YOURSELF AN IMAGE in the form of anything, in Heaven above or in the Earth beneath, or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them, or worship them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents, up to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me, and keep my commandments. If my people who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, I will hear from Heaven, will forgive their sins, and will heal their land. AND WHEN YOU PRAY DO NOT BE LIKE THE HYPOCRITES, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners, to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. BUT WHEN YOU PRAY, GO INTO YOUR ROOM, close the door, and pray to your Father who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need, before you ask him. This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. "Matthew 5-7 NIV Bible Gateway", we can use google search. These are the teachings, The Righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ our God. REPENT, and start doing what is right. If you abide my teachings, you are really my disciples; then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in Truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. GOD IS SPIRIT, so his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in Truth. In the New Heaven and the New Earth, only Righteousness dwells. May the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ our God be with you all.
