Hollywood funnyman Harold Ramis dies

Harold Ramis starred in several comedy classics and also wrote and directed some of Hollywood's funniest films. But as Francis Silvaggio reports, his had strong roots in Canadian comedy.

I cried when I heard he passed. He was my favourite character and I was hopeing to meet him one day. He was the reason I’m interested in ghosts. He was amazing. We truly lost a wonderful human being. R.Ip Harold ramis.

very sad news. this man was a hero to me as a child and took part in so many great films. he was the reason my life took the course that it did as i now own ecto 1 and was really hoping to meet him one day. i hope if anything good can come from this it might spur the rest on to make the third film as a tribute to a legend.

Despite that I never knew Harold Ramis personally, I sure do miss him a lot. Why did it have to happen to him? Not only that, my dad died from congestive heart failure two years earlier on March 4th of 2012 and I sure do miss him a lot too.

If he didn’t die Ghostbusters Afterlife would’ve been 100 times better than it already is, the scene where they had Egons ghost fly up in the end and it said For Harold had me and my Dad in our feelings

I couldn't even bring myself to see the last Ghostbusters movie because Harold Ramis wasn't in it. It's not a real Ghostbusters movie without Harold Ramis in it.

Ghost busters was one of the big hit films I enjoyed and it had a special meaning. When I watched the end of afterlife I thought this was a perfect way of paying tribute to him.
