Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says he is "alarmed" about allegations of MPs colluding with foreign states, after reading the unredacted version of that bombshell report from the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP). David Akin reports on Singh's assessment of the report, how it contrasts with Green Party Co-Leader Elizabeth May's opinion and who else will or won't read the report.

the govenor general cannot arbitarily do that as the prome minister has to ask for that to happen if the election is called for early by the sitting government or the government loses a confidence vote. you are not getting an early election.

Because he's very smart. If he reads it he will have a gag order like Singh. So he would not be allowed to tell Canadians who the criminals are. It's likely someone will leak it and then PP can call them out on it. If he becomes PM he can take action against them. They compromised our security and belong behind bars. Canada 🇨🇦 needs to consider the following steps to minimize Chinese interference: - limiting the number of diplomatic and consular officials (spies) allowed in Canada, - closing down the Toronto and Vancouver consulates, *- creating a foreign agent registry making foreign interference a crime,* - closing down Beijing’s “police stations," - canceling "sister city" programs with China, - closing down all Confucius institutes, - Banning United Front Work and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office operatives *from entry to Canada.*

Justin is coordinating the response- having Jagmeet saying that treason must be dealt with and that there are many MPs who have wittingly helped foreign countries interfere. Of course they identify that India may have tried to influence the Conservative leadership race but fail to identify the remaining events which all involved the Liberal party. Elizabeth May plays the flip side -- and says there is no list - wow she is as a dumb as she sounds. It appears that the Liberals, NDP, and Green are all trying to spin this against Pierre. Pierre is not going to review the report until the NDA policy is removed. All of the other events targeted the Liberal party and are Liberal MPs. Anyone who reviews the report must sign an Non Disclosure Agreement and if they publicly discuss the names will be prosecuted (and you can bet the Justin would push to prosecute Pierre). Pierre needs to keep doing what he's doing to push the government to prosecute the MPs who are named.
