Gaza protests: Quebec court rejects injunction request against McGill encampment

A Quebec judge has denied the request for a provisional injunction to remove protesters at McGill University as the encampment by pro-Palestinian protesters has stretched into a fifth day.
The decision comes after a lawyer representing two students asked a judge to order a “restricted area” preventing five pro-Palestinian groups from protesting within 100 metres of every building at McGill’s downtown campus for 10 days.
The students, who both attend McGill, say the protests have created an atmosphere of aggression and made them feel unsafe.
The protesters are now celebrating a victory, as the resolution has pushed university officials to make a move. Global’s Gloria Henriquez explains.

We want a safe place to raise our families as hopefully those seeking refuge here do. Aswell our rights shouldn't be wiped out and replaced by those seeking a better life. I wouldn't do it if I moved to any other country. I am no longer proud to be a Canadian sadly.

It's an issue of scale and magnitude. What is there to fight about in Canada that the garbage isn't being picked up on time. I'm oversimplifying here there are real issues of homelessness and the like however there is a genocide going on 41,000 Palestinians have been killed over 70% of them are clearly civilians according to International sources. That constitutes a war crime. It is fundamentally in the interest of Canada not to become accessory to that war crime by providing weaponry, aiding, and abetting in it. It is fundamentally important to Canada that we are not International pariahs and are not International criminals. Why do you think it's important that we should spend Canadian taxpayer money on that country which is a first world country and which is committing a war crime. How is it in the interest of Canadians that our taxpayer money be spent on that country that's precisely what their protesting about Canadian taxpayer money should be spent in Canada and on values that are in alignment with ours

The Global West organised the riots (sorry, "peaceful protests" as described by Western media) in Hong Kong 2019-20. Police officers were attacked and injured; some being splashed with acid. The rioters (sorry, “peaceful protesters” as always described by Western media) shut down the airport and the transport infrastructure, which was also extensively vandalised. At the airport one journalist from China was bound and held by the rioters. The rioters (sorry, “peaceful protesters” as framed by Western politicians and media) threatened to attack police married quarters. Government employees and their families were also threatened and doxed by the rioters (sorry, “peaceful protesters”, as framed by Western politicians and media). The Chamber of the Legislative Council was invaded and vandalized. Infrastructure was also vandalized and the petrol bomb became ubiquitous in the hands of rioters (sorry, “peaceful protesters”, as framed by Western politicians and media). When the National Security Law was introduced the Global West went into self-righteous overdrive. Rather amusing considering that shortly afterwards Canada invoked their Emergency Powers Act, for truckers honking their horns and nothing like the violence seen in Hong Kong. No other country would have permitted the level of violence caused by the rioters (sorry, “peaceful protesters”, as framed by Western politicians and media). So called citizen journalists place themselves between the rioters (sorry, “peaceful protesters”, as framed by Western politicians and media) and the police so that it appeared the police were attacking the “media”. Western media became directly involved on the side of the rioters (sorry, “peaceful protesters”, as framed by Western politicians and media). Around the same period as the riots (sorry, “peaceful protests”, as framed by Western politicians and media) in Hong Kong similar riots in Chile resulted in about 36 people being killed and upwards of 2,500 people being injured. The riots in Chile received nothing like the media coverage given to the riots (sorry, “peaceful protests”, as framed by Western politicians and media) in Hong Kong. It is nice to see that the National Security Law has returned Hong Kong to peace and prosperity. And Nancy Pelosi said the violence and mayhem was a “beautiful sight”. Not forgetting Ted Cruz traveling to Hong Kong to support the rioters (sorry, “peaceful protests”, as framed by Western politicians and media). Western politicians and media made it plain that they stood on the side of the rioters (sorry, “peaceful protesters”) some of whom had started to move away from “mostly fiery but peaceful protests” into the beginnings of terrorism, not that one would ever see that in Western reports.
