The Canadian ship is not “The” Montreal, it should properly be referred to as HMCS Montreal, or simply Montreal, due to the ship’s prefix of His Majesty’s Canadian Ship.

If an "accident" happened, and the Canadian warship was stranded in the straits,,,, can you imagine the events following? The Canadian captain should think about that. He's far from home, at China's front door with guns and missiles, that's like an armed thief injured at your front door thinking that international law will protect him.

I went and looked up the HMCS Montreal. Canadians are going to call it a frigate. It's a new kind of vessel and we are expecting more arrivals of this kind of vessel. In reality, what you are looking at is a guided missile destroyer combined with a devoted submarine warfare destroyer. They are designed to be multirole ships. They even carry a helicopter to 'reach out' and extend our hospitality. I bet not many other writers told you about that. I'll pat myself on the back for that one. That Canadian ship represents the best of our defenses. You know they have the four-way steering set, right? Four propellors. You know what's under the hood? Normal high power diesel engines. AND Gas powered turbines. They can switch to that. Gas turbines? Amazing. All sorts of missiles. torpedoes, high speed. They never tried anything. Good work. But if they had, those Canadian 'frigates' can tear them a new A$$le.
