In the northeastern coastal city of Dalian in China is a factory where engineers are developing humanoid robots suitable for office and home use.
Focusing on enhancing facial expression and emotion through AI, Ex-Robot CEO says these humanoids will have a bigger role to play in the healthcare, home and education industries.
"The front desk of the hotel, the receptionist of the public administration service centre. There are a lot of jobs that humanoid robots can actually be competent at," Li Boyang said.
He hopes that every person may have a robot in the future at home for their service, or perhaps multiple.

LITERALLY THIS!!!! As a Canadian I find it HILARIOUS we’re all arguing over immigrants, gays, lesbians and transgender people while China literally created Terminator Gen 1. Oddly enough as a young person working in an IKEA to pay for university I can say that retail companies are buying these robots up like hotcakes. We got a whole warehouse built on every store as of 2024 staffed ONLY by robots! Drones, pallet movers, pickers heck even the forklifts are robotic!

Haha, Many Chinese people, including myself, only learned about this system from foreign commentary. So I looked it up and, sure enough, it does exist! However, this system is used to evaluate credit. Simply put on it , if you owe a lot of money and consistently fail to repay it, it will be difficult for you to borrow money from other banks or lending institutions like apps. That's why hardly any Chinese people know about this system.

If a student doesn’t turn in an assignment? 50 percent. Do they miss every problem on a vocabulary quiz? 50 percent. Even some KIPP schools-an influential charter system that sets cross-country trends-have adopted the practice. It’s meant to encourage kids, of course, and not completely torpedo their GPAs. It’s part of being nice and progressive, considerate of students’ feelings and respectful of their egos."
