Amid the chorus of a gospel choir, the casket of Aretha Franklin was closed for the final time on August 31, as hundreds of music, religious, political and sports icons gathered to remember the "Queen of Soul."

This choir sounds great. This is the type of good music that will bring a tear to the eye along with the viewing of the casket closing for the final time.The Black Baptist Church usually has great singers. RIP our beautiful Queen of Soul, Aretha L. Franklin. Thank you for your gift to the world.

RIP Queen Condolences family take it one day at a time it will get easier. Love to you all, I know my mom been dead 12 years it hurts still feels like yesterday but I know she's in a better place she was 94. I miss her dearly. My prayers of comfort to you all, may God richly bless you and keep you. We love you all.

Wow, this is the part of funerals I honestly dread the most, when that casket is slowly closed, and the reality of never ever seeing your loved one on earth again hits you, it hits you like a ton of bricks, it's the most emotional anguish I've ever experienced...
