2024 Calgary Stampede Parade | FULL

4 күн бұрынThe 2024 Calgary Stampede officially kicked off with the annual Stampede Parade on Friday.
The kickoff to the “Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth” was led by 2024 Parade Marshall, actor Owen Crow Shoe.
The annual parade saw 21 floats, 11 bands and over 40 equine entries wind its way through Downtown Calgary.
Over 700 horses were also part of the parade.
Among some of the dignitaries seen taking part in the parade were Mayor Jyoti Gondek, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, and federal Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre.

The Calgary Stampede is a magnificent event, brilliantly organized and widely celebrated by everyone. As a Taiwanese Canadian who has lived in Canada for 30 years, I am deeply disappointed and saddened to see such a joyful occasion marred by political pressure. The organizers initially allowed the Taipei First Girls High School marching band, to carry their national flag during their entrance. However, this part was cut out in the published video. This disrespectful treatment of these young ambassadors is unacceptable. I urge Global News to address this issue with a clear and honest explanation.

Can anyone explain the Flag @1:42:10 carried by MSSO (Maharashtra Seva Samiti Organization)? Is it the flag of India, or Maharashtra or Maratha Confederacy way back from 16th Century? Maharashtra has no official flag, but the government uses the white banner with the state emblem in the centre, like all state and territory governments in India. Or should we consider this flag, Poveria Shivaji Maharaj Flag. A flag that is used in India to bully a minority in India? Agree?
